Shandon is a small and cosy 3 bedroom home where we provide a peaceful oasis and support for people with learning disabilities and other complex needs.

We are very friendly and welcoming to visitors and friends  - one family member recently commented that “my relative has never been as happy as they are living in Shandon”.

We provide a professional team who are on hand around-the-clock to enable residents to enjoy a fulfilling and independent lifestyle encouraging new opportunities and maintaining skills. A varied social calendar ensures residents get to do what they want with regular trips out in our car.

The home is situated in the residential area of Ash Green near Aldershot at the base of the Surrey Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It enjoys many local amenities and all the facilities of Aldershot and Guildford. The nearby railway station is on the Reading-Guildford-Gatwick line and there are direct roads to Aldershot, Farnham and Guildford.

At the front of the property there is ample parking space for several cars. To the entrance of the property there is a ramp for wheelchair access leading to the front door with railings and the home is fully wheelchair accessible.

There are three bedrooms all on the ground floor and all leading off a large communal hallway. All rooms are a good size, private and individually decorated to residents personal taste and comfort. Each room is complete with a wash hand basin and fitted wardrobes.

There is a cosy lounge and TV area with a high standard of décor and fittings. Leading off the hallway is a large open plan kitchen dining room with views to the back garden. There is a conservatory area adjacent to the kitchen which is currently in use for laundry facilities.

The main bathing facilities are fully adapted to support disabled access and use and there is a secondary toilet area adjacent. There is also accommodation upstairs with a staff sleep-in room and office.

We have a pretty, well maintained garden with a patio area for sitting out in warm weather and a small vegetable plot for residents to work in if they wish. At the back of the garage is a studio room / garden room which can be used for residents’ activities.
