Pymhurst is a 6 bedded house for people with learning disabilities including conditions such as autism, dementia, epilepsy and diabetes. We pride ourselves on providing a safe, comfortable, homely and caring environment which is friendly and relaxed. The people who live at Pymhurst are encouraged to have respect for each others feelings and possessions and to support each other while also maintaining individual lifestyle choices.
Residents are encouraged to develop self help and independent living skills. All residents are involved in creating their person centred plans and health action plans which are regularly reviewed with them. Each resident has a keyworker whose role it is to ensure the residents needs are being met by holding regular meetings with them. House meetings are held every six weeks where residents can tell us their views and we can involve them in decisions and changes that may be happening.
